Exercise is commonly recommended throughout pregnancy as it has so many benefits for both mother & baby. However, throughout pregnancy a woman’s body goes through so many changes, it can often be daunting knowing how to safely continue or start an exercise routine.
Our Antenatal specific Pilates/Exercise sessions offer a fantastic low impact exercise option to help connect with your changing body, as well as strengthen for childbirth & life with a new bundle of joy. As every pregnancy is different, we tailor each program to the individualised needs of the expectant mother to ensure a continuation of safe & effective exercise throughout all stages of pregnancy.
After your baby is born, our Postnatal Pilates/Exercise sessions will not only help get you back into pre-pregnancy shape, but also address common concerns that women may struggle with in the postpartum period. With a large focus on pelvic floor control, core strengthening to help with diastases & strengthening postural muscles to reduce aches from hours of holding your tiny new human, the individually tailored sessions will get you on the road to recovery in no time & empower you to feel great in your own body again.
Our Exercise physiologist is trained to help women with common pregnancy & child birth-related conditions such as:
- Low back pain
- Pelvic Girdle Pain
- Gestational Diabetes
- Pelvic Floor Muscle dysfunction & recovery
- Diastasis Rectus Abdominis recovery
- De Quervain’s Tenosynovitis
Initial consultation with our Exercise Physiologist must be completed before booking into any individual or group exercise sessions. Individually tailored exercise programs can be written for you to perform in the comfort of your home or at your gym.
If you’re looking for best results and that extra guidance and motivation, 1:1 face to face exercise sessions can be booked, or grab a couple of your friends for small group private 2:1 or 3:1 sessions available for either Pilates or gym based exercise.
