Meet Leoane, our Registered Nurse / Occupational Health Nurse! Her early nursing career began in regional and remote areas of Queensland, working for Queensland Health & St Vincents Private Hospital Emergency Department on the Darling Downs. In 2015 Leoane made the change to work as a Nurse Medic working DIDO role on Curtis Island LNG plant.

Leoane’s 8 years of occupational health activities and training has provided advanced skills and knowledge in Rehab & Return to Work, Pre-employment & Periodic Medical Assessments, Audiometry, Spirometry, Drug & Alcohol Testing & general medical assessments. Leoane joined our Occupational Health Team in 2023, and enjoys working with our physiotherapists and exercise physiologists to complete individual assessments for pre-employment, and periodic health surveillance as required to meet the industry standards.

Outside of work she enjoys Bargara life with her husband Gordon in their Scuba Diving business. Family is important, and 3 children and 5 grandchildren makes for keeping her active. Volunteering for BMRG Turtle Patrol Season and the Friends of Archie’s Beach & Kelly’s Creek Reserve also allows Leoane to give back to the community while enjoying the amazing Bundaberg region.
