Tahira Nisar is an Occupational Therapist whose passion for helping others has shaped her life and career. Originally from Karachi, Pakistan, she brings warmth, empathy, and a wealth of experience to her work with both children and adults across a wide range of therapeutic needs.

Tahira completed her Bachelor’s in Occupational Therapy at Dow University of Health Sciences (DUHS) in 2014, where she was recognised as Best Graduate and served as Class Representative for the full four years. Since then, she has worked in diverse clinical settings — from psychiatric rehabilitation and sensory integration clinics to early intervention and community-based care — continually adapting her approach to meet her clients where they are.

Her professional journey includes roles at the Institute of Behavioural Psychology, The Circle – Caring for Children, Dow University Hospital, and The Recovery House, a psychiatric and addiction rehabilitation centre. She has also delivered therapy in homes, schools, and special needs centres, most notably as a Senior OT with the Karachi Down Syndrome Program and AMI School Project – PAAR. In December 2023, Tahira joined Coral Coast Physiotherapy and Allied Health Clinic, bringing her expertise to the Australian healthcare system.

Alongside her clinical work, Tahira completed an Executive MBA at the Institute of Business Administration (IBA) in 2023, driven by a desire to enhance her leadership and service delivery skills.

Outside of work, Tahira is a proud mum of three and values time spent with her family. She enjoys reading, socialising, and playing outdoor games like badminton and table tennis. She also finds joy in giving back through community service and volunteering.

Tahira is known for her creativity, kindness, and ability to connect with people from all walks of life. She brings not just her skills, but also her heart, into every therapy session — making a difference, one person at a time.
